HELP! PARVO MOM & PUPS
SUNDAY AUGUST 9th
Elia was picked up from a homeless camp, during an outreach effort. She is pregnant and could give birth any day. We brought her in to our vet this morning for standard care and tests. Turns out she has Parvovirus. She received all medical care required for recovery from parvovirus.
MONDAY AUGUST 10th
Elia has 4 beautiful newborn puppies. They appear healthy and we will continue supportive care, ensuring cleanliness of her environment.
6 PARVO PUPS MEDICAL CARE
Six puppies came in and our veterinarian diagnosed with parvovirus. They are 4 weeks old, Jack Russell Terrier mixes. They are receiving all the needed veterinary care for their recovery. They are currently eating prescription wet food to help them get through the next two weeks of recovery.
MONDAY AUGUST 17th
All six puppies are thriving and eating, drinking and pottying well. They will continued medical care and follow up vaccines, dewormings and care in a week.
HO'OMAU MEDICAL REFUND
WEDNESDAY JULY 15th
A dog was brought to us in horrific condition. The entirety of back is completely open and raw, the skin was peeling back. He is being hospitalized for a few days and needs to undergo surgery to repair the wounds on his back.
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 17th
Ho'omau requires daily veterinary visits six days a week. His care amounts to $150-200 per day. He receives laser therapy 3 times a week and full bandage changes 6 times a week. His back still has a wound covering the entire top, although skin is slowly growing in around the edges. Donations have been coming in for Ho'omau, but due to his high costs, we need to raise another $2,000
MASS & ABSCESSED TEETH REMOVAL
WEDNESDAY JULY 5th
Bella was surrendered by homeless after her owner passed away. She received all preventative care and vaccinations.
TUESDAY AUGUST 4th
Upon full veterinary exam, she has a mass that needs removal. The veterinarian would like to send it out for testing if enough funds can be raised. Bella also has a few fractured / abscessed teeth that require removal. Bella also requires a monthly injection for allergies.
We need to raise $600 to complete this care for sweet Bella.
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 17th
PAWS of Hawaii has six dogs positive for heartworms, undergoing treatments. This treatment is extensive and costs on average $500 per dog. We need to raise $3,000 in order to cover the treatment for these six animals. This includes the veterinary tests, pre heartworm care, the injections and follow up medications. Please donate to help support their costs of heartworm treatment.
Petunia, Ahsoka, Moom, Jessie, Dunkin and Ginger all appreciate your love and care!
We believe all dogs deserve a chance at a great life. Sometimes dogs come to us from situations that are far less than ideal. Some have been abused, neglected and many suffer from behavioral problems. Because we are a foster-based- rescue organization it is difficult to take on an aggressive or behaviorally challenged dog, unless we can offer the support of a trainer. A dog with any kind of aggression needs around 6 months to a year to recover through consistent training, love and patience. Funds given to Rehabilitation will go towards training, so "un-adoptable dogs" have a chance at a happy life. To be able to give more dogs this chance, we depend on your donations.
